It’s a tribe from Polynesia to New Zealand. Twenty generations ago, came with the aim of acquiring new lands, and now, it’s their descent who lives here.

These tribes are made up of the confederation of Maori peoples who are based on Rotarua and Bay of Abundance, in the north of New Zealand bringing together a population of around 40,000 people in 2012.

Many Te Arawa men fought for the Colonial Government in the New Zaland land wars that occurred in the mid-19th century in the North Island of New Zealand.
